We were given the chance to work alongside one of our New Plymouth Resellers on a sizeable project.
We had the opportunity to work with Office Furniture First in New Plymouth on a large scale project for a local client.
We supplied Tidal Electric Height Adjustable Desks with Cable Baskets, and Proceed Steel Tambours and Planter Boxes. We pre-cut cable ports in the desktops of the Tidal Desks and placed cable covers on the tops in place of using a scalloped desk top option. Cables were managed under the desktop with the Tidal Cable Basket.
Historically the organisation had been using 90 and 120 degree fixed height workstations. With the introduction of dual monitor arms and flat screens we were able to use a straight desk option for this project. This has meant a more efficient utilisation of floor space and the chance for staff to add movement into their work day with electric height adjustable desks.
Over 160 work points were supplied for this project in stages, along with seating, storage, café and meeting room furniture.
Mobile caddies were used at the desk to provide personal storage and a space for visitors to perch when discussing work with colleagues.
Folding Flip Tables were used in the meeting rooms; this provides great versatility and means the room can be used for multiple purposes. The tables fold easily and can be rolled away for storage and nested taking up minimal floor space. Black mesh chairs were selected for the meeting rooms offering a modern and stylish look.
Bar leaners were utilised in the café areas, outside of lunch and break times these are used for stand up meetings and project discussions. Bar stools completed the slim line look along with a magazine rack and coffee tables that matched the bar leaners provide a cohesive and complimentary design.
Screens were used to provide acoustic benefits and privacy while also creating ducting for power and soft wiring to each work station.
The project was managed locally by Office Furniture First and we delivered the product in stages as per project milestones. Office Furniture First used their own warehousing to consolidate orders as they arrived.
This was a key factor in the success of the project, stock could be checked prior to it going to site for assembly and installation. Any remedial work was identified early on and we could correct it promptly to achieve deadlines.
Effective communication was essential and Office Furniture First applied a high attention to detail throughout the project timeline, particularly the key dates for delivery and installation. The result was a successfully delivered outcome.
